OR-ASTA is excited to announce that we are presenting a masterclass with world renowned harpist Yolanda Kondonassis while whe is in Portland performing with Oregon Symphony. Ms. Kondonassis is extremely excited to work with the Oregon Harp community and we look forward to showcasing our young talent. We're looking for three harpists to perform and applications need to be received by October 11th, 2015. THe class is free to observe.
Pacific Northwest Harp Workshop 2015
Friday, July 17th & Saturday, July 18th
Takes place at Valley Catholic Elementary School in Beaverton Oregon
This workshop is open to students of all ages and skill levels. Both lever and pedal harpists are welcome. There will be classes, ensemble rehearsals, concerts, and a master class.
Cost of workshop is $125 Additional private lessons available

American Youth Harp Ensemble Concert on July, 17th, 2014!
I so pleased to announce that the American Youth Harp Ensemble will be back in Portland, OR and performing on July 17th. The concert will take place over at the Valley Catholic High School Auditorium at 7pm. Ticket prices are $10 p/person, or $25 p/family.
I hope to see everyone there to support this wonderful group!

This weekend will focus on -Performance -Practicing -How to transition into a gigging harpist
One full day will be devoted to -Improv/beginning Jazz -Modern Harp techniques -Ensemble playing
This workshop will also feature -Master Class -Teachers' performance -Students' performance
I'm so excited to say the a Musa will be shown in the Librarian, a new show being filmed here at the University Club in Portland, OR. I will update when I know an airing date!
Exciting News!
I just returned from the set of NBC's Grimm! An Aoyama Princess Sakura harp will be featured in an upcoming episode. It should air in a few weeks and will be episode 20 of season 2. I'll be sure to do another announcement as it gets closer to let you know when to tune in.
